Join Venture Outdoor Leadership for our very first trip of the semester! There is not better GOLD RUSH event than this rafting trip like no other! We'll explore a North Carolina river, following the water while enjoying the views, learning how to work together as a team, and honing the craftsmanship of team paddling. Designed for both beginners and experienced rafters, our adventure trip leaders will guide and teach along the way.
While no experience is necessary, comfort being submerged in water is required. While we don't plan on capsizes, they may happen. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our office at venturedept@charlotte.edu

Come explore one of the many rivers in North Carolina by canoe. After a day of exploring the waters, spotting wildlife, and enjoying the sun on our faces, we'll camp on the water's edge for the night. We'll cook and share dinner together, sharing lessons from the day, before heading to bed in our tents.

There's not better way to spend Fall Break then on Roan Mountain! You will explore the highlands of the North Carolina- Tennessee border, enjoying the views by day and camping by night. This trip is open to any experience, whether you have spend your life hiking or camping or this will be your first time sleeping in a tent.

Every wondered what it would be like to sleep out overnight, enjoying the stars and the chirps of crickets? Join us as we step away from the city lights and noise of traffic and into nature! This trip is designed specifically for those who have never camped overnight. Your trip leaders will teach you everything you need to know about hiking, camping, and even cooking while out on the trail.

Join Venture Outdoor Leadership for a caving adventure like no other! Worley's cave is a great location for those new to caving as there are paths to opt-out of the tight squeezes. Your adventure trip leaders will teach you about caving, ecology, geology, cave preservation, and more throughout this unique experience.
The Bristol, TN area is the traditional home of the Eastern Band of Cherokee and the S'atsoyaha (Yuchi) (source: native-land.ca)
